Dan Williams has been delivering award winning songs to his clients for years. From national ad campaigns to music beds, Dan Williams Music and Motion will deliver on-time and within budget, no matter how tight the deadline. Our experience and cutting-edge creative keep us a step ahead of the competition. On top of that, we’re a whole lot of fun to work with. Just ask any of the hundreds of clients we’ve provided music for.Two women with a studio and an idea built Colors Agency Inc. into Memphis’s leading modeling agency — the go-to agency for everything for many companies here, and, increasingly, for filmmakers who came here. Now new owners hope to take it further still, partly by pooling more talent with more diverse skills and pitching it to clients all over the South. In December, Colors founders Jo Bracey and Annette Outlan sold the agency to the Nashville-based Dan Agency Inc., owned by Stephanie Beck Williams and her husband, Dan Williams.

Dan Agency, founded in 2001 in Nashville, owns another agency in Memphis and one in Houston. Two more agencies are licensed with them in Atlanta and New Orleans. The agency currently represents about 1,200 models, actors, celebrities, voice-over artists, singers and dancers and makeup artists; the addition of Colors will adds close to 600 more models and actors. Cross-over bookings among all the cities should be a help to both clients and talent, said Stephanie Williams.“There has been no down time,” in Memphis, said Williams. “We just stepped in and started booking. The clients and the talent have been warm and welcoming to us.”Many area companies, as well as models and actors, have a keen interest in what happens at Colors.

Colors Agency “is absolutely the leading one,” in Memphis, said Jonathan Epstein, co-owner of Running Pony Productions, which creates everything from national commercials to local company training videos. a local producer of video and digital content, The sale of it “is a double-edge sword. It’s exciting that it opens up talent not as much at our fingertips before,” he said. He hopes for the same great service he got from Bracey and Outlan. “It could be the 11th hour, but one call to Colors, and we’d have that thing we needed or the closest thing to it,” he said.Adrienne Campbell, a Realtor and a Colors model since 1999, hopes for more work from Wilhelmina Dan Agency. “They’re an agency in a lot of cities, not just Memphis, and I think there will be more opportunities,” she said. She calls the Memphis market stable, commercial (as opposed to editorial) and still part-time. Most professional models from the Wilhelmina Dan Agency who remain in this area attend school or have another part-time or full-time job.
